Build Your Own
Build your own sandwich using premium Boar's Head meats and cheeses, served on bread baked fresh daily from a local bakery.
San Francisco's best-kept sandwich secret on Geary Street. Boar's Head meats. Locally baked bread. Built your way since day one.
Salem Grocery in San Francisco is a hidden gem that has garnered a loyal following for its exceptional sandwiches. The standout feature is the quality and balance of their ingredients. Their sourdough rolls are perfectly crusty on the outside while maintaining a soft interior. The pastrami sandwich is praised for its generous and well-seasoned meat. Definitely worth a visit.
If you are contemplating ordering a sandwich from Salem Market, don't hesitate! I built my own sandwich. I put peppered turkey, bacon, pepperoncinis, lettuce, mayo, & chipotle mayo on my sandwich. Their customer service is immaculate. My sandwich was warm & tasty upon arrival. I rate this place 5 stars!
You can judge a restaurant on how well they make the simplest things. This was, hands down, the best BLT I've ever had. Bacon? plentiful and crispy. Tomatoes? fresh and juicy. Bread? wow!! I expected sliced wheat, not the soft and lovely oated wheat roll they used. Sheer perfection, yum!
